Standing Deputy PM attends opening of 2024 Da Lat Flower Festival

Politburo member, Standing Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh attended the opening ceremony of the 2024 Da Lat Flower Festival in Da Lat city, the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong on December 5 evening.

Lam Dong (VNA) – Politburo member, Standing Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh attended the opening ceremony of the 2024 Da Lat Flower Festival in Da Lat city, the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong on December 5 evening.

In his opening remarks, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Tran Hong Thai, who is also head of the steering committee for the 10th festival, said that unlike previous editions, this year’s event is being held across the province until the end of December 31, with a wide range of cultural and artistic activities.

Binh said that this biennial festival continues to affirm that Da Lat is Vietnam's city of flower festivals, a UNESCO Creative City in music, and one of top five most impressive festival city in Asia.

It is not only a celebration for the people of Lam Dong province but also an opportunity for domestic and international visitors to experience the unique cultural and tourism values of Da Lat. It will contribute to achieving the province's goal of welcoming its 10 millionth visitor by the end of the year, and promoting the distinctive agricultural economy linked to heritage conservation and cultural and natural preservation in Lam Dong.

He expressed his hope that the Lam Dong Party Committee, authorities, and people continue to unite, overcome all challenges, and contribute to bringing Vietnam into a new era of the nation’s rise; and the province will serve as an exemplary model of green growth and sustainable development by harmoniously integrating tourism and services with the preservation of national cultural identity.

The festival includes 10 main events such as a New Year’s music show, an international seminar on green tourism and cultural industries, a “wine - tea - coffee street,” and a flower parade with floats and fashion./.

Moscow to host Vietnam Culture Festival for first time

Photo exhibition highlights Vietnam–Israel cultural ties
